Review | Amanda Lancaster
Hedonism is deemed by definition as the term given to the constant pursuit of pleasure and satisfaction. Well folks, prepare yourselves to be well and truly sated….and by the GODZ themselves no less.
Meet the Gods of Head First Acrobats the award winning group behind such shows as Elixir, Crème de la Crème and now, GODZ. This group are not just award winners but multiple award winners year after year and for very good reason. There is an absolute breath-taking amount of talent, attention and effort that goes into each of this company’s shows, and their energy and execution is beyond compare. This group is the real deal, making them not only FRINGEWORLD and fan favourites time and again, but this reviewer’s personal favourite also, every time we are lucky enough to have them in Perth.
Follow our four human incarnations of exactly what a Greek god should look like as they party on Mount Olympus like it’s 2022. Embodiments of mythological faves such as Hercules, Hades, Dionysus and Cupid as you have never seen them before and probably wont ever see them again. Sassy, smart assed, skilled beyond measure and sexy as hell this is a show of epic godlike proportions.
Well known for their own particular brand of circus comedy stylings this latest venture is no exception when it comes to the no holds barred rules. If the stunning acrobatics, physical prowess, and mind-blowing feats of strength and daring don’t have you on the edge of your seat for the entire sixty-minute performance then the bold tongue-in-cheek quips and clowning is sure to have you falling out of it laughing instead.
We’re talking nail biting stunts and acrobatics, circus tricks, high kicks, and hot guys in short skirts amongst other costumes of a completely appropriate and inappropriate nature. I don’t want to give away some of the surprise and shock factor to the show but definitely keep an eye out and on these naughty lads completely on point and exactly to the point imitation of ancient Greek statues: in all their glory.
GODZ is definitely one of this year’s most stand out shows by far. When I say if I could give it more than 5 stars out of 5 I would, this is still underselling the show. If you have been lucky enough to have seen a Head First show before you know exactly what I am talking about, but if you haven’t already seen these guys in action…. trust me when I tell you that GODZ isn’t just a want to see show, it’s dead set need to see show.
Its time to worship at the house of Head First Acrobats and get down with some golden Greek GODZ gone wild action-packed edge of your seat adventure.
You can catch the GODZ in all their glory until 13th February 2022. TICKETS
